Our work Promise To Uphold The Trust Placed

At House of Hope, we support individuals and families with employment, welfare benefits, higher education, housing, and family-related matters.
Our directors have real experience in these areas, and even before the organisation was officially created, they were already actively involved in community and charity work. We also provide emergency food support by referring those in need to the Leicester South Food Bank. Because of this support, many families are thus able to receive food parcels on a weekly basis while they go through tough times.

Alongside this, we work very closely with the local Job Centre in order to help people gain employment; this includes helping with form filling, writing CVs, making job applications, and preparing for interviews. We also work with Voluntary Action Leicestershire (VAL) to help steer people towards appropriate volunteering opportunities, enabling them to gain much-needed experience, confidence, and new skills.

Further to this, we are developing a Community Farm Project with our partner The African Oasis represented by Barbara Attridge, which will focus on practical farming skills and the promotion of food sustainability. The project teaches individuals how to grow food, build independence, and reconnect with the land while also supporting local families with fresh produce. Everything at House of Hope is about giving people practical tools, real opportunities, and hope for a better future

EMERGENCY FOOD 100%

We are joyful and satisfied at the House of Hope Team, as our new Youth Project has kicked off. Over 30 young participants have signed up to take part in our sessions; virtually half of them were girls. This is one of its kind, as many projects of this type have been boys-dominant. It isn’t just football that takes place, but other sports, too, which made this project even more extremely inclusive in many ways. The project is to be carried out every Saturday during term time up until next year.

The Project has been funded by Sports England, and our team is so grateful for their support
